Pastor

Pastor J. Dale Massengale was saved and called to preach as a young man. He came to Breckinridge County from his hometown of Greer, SC, in 1987 with a great desire to serve the Lord and a sure calling to begin a work in this area.

The Pleasant View Baptist Church officially began December 6, 1987. He and his wife, Debra, have seen the Lord save souls, change lives, and do amazing things in the years that have followed. They have four children, each with families of their own now, who also serve faithfully with them in this ministry. Our Pastor and his dear wife have been, and continue to be, the biblical example of a true pastor and pastor’s wife to this congregation of believers - in their character, their love and guidance, and in the heart they have for people to have a true relationship with Jesus Christ.
