The Pleasant View Baptist School was started in August of 1999 as a result of a burden that Pastor Massengale had to aid the parents of Pleasant View Baptist Church in their endeavors to educate their children. Desiring to see young people fulfill their potential as they seek the will of God for their life, the staff of the PVBS is constantly moving forward to provide a quality education that will equip young people to be competitive in society and spiritually serve their generation with the gospel. The student body is made up of children from faithful tithing church members that submit themselves to the doctrine and authority of the Pleasant View Baptist Church. The decisions made concerning the operation of the school are made by a board of men, approved by the church, who prayerfully discuss what is best for both staff and students in its daily operation. The 2018-2019 Board Members are Pastor Massengale, Kevin Tucker, Joe Voyles, Jim Coyle, Tim McQueen, Joshua Bradley, Joshua Calloway, Travis Massengale, and Jeremy Bartlett. There is also an academic committee in place that constantly reviews student achievement and teacher productivity, as well as various curriculum options to make sure that PVBS is doing all they can to offer our children the best education possible. It is truly a ministry where "by love we serve one another".
